I'm a few other things too, all of them a bit geeky in a way now that I think about it. That's life I suppose...
- Kites are cool. I started with sport kites, the ones like miniature hangliders, but these days I spend more time kite-landboarding and kitesurfing.
- Books are cool. I've got lots of books. Too many, if you speak to my girlfriend, not enough as far as I'm concerned. I work in a bookshop, it's a handy outlet that quite probably stops my better half murdering me. I also use my Cool Science Books blog as a bit of a vent.
- I like messing about with software, specifically open source stuff. I run Linux, code bits of php/mysql and am trying to get to grips with Blender - here's a few short demos of the stuff I'm messing around with. I particularly like the physics engine.
